(Romans 8:28)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; If God is for us, who can be against us? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:31b,35,37-39)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. (Romans 16:20)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; For we were so utterly, unbearably crushed that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death so that we would rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead. He who rescued us from so deadly a peril will continue to rescue us; on him we have set our hope that he will rescue us again. (2 Corinthians 1:8b-10a)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; But we have this treasure in clay jars, so that it may be made clear that this extraordinary power belongs to God and does not come from us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our bodies. (2 Corinthians 4:7-10)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure, because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation. I can do everything through him who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:12a,13)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory. (Colossians 3:2-4)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. (Colossians 3:15a)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:16)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. (2 Timothy 4:18)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who in every respect has been tested as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:15-16)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. (Hebrews 6:10)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have; for he has said, "I will never leave you or forsake you." So we can say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?" (Hebrews 13:5-6)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you. But ask in faith, never doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. (James 1:5-6)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; Let those suffering in accordance with God's will entrust themselves to a faithful Creator, while continuing to do good. (1 Peter 4:19)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you. Discipline yourselves, keep alert. Like a roaring lion your adversary the devil prowls around, looking for someone to devour. Resist him, steadfast in your faith. And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, support, strengthen, and establish you. (1 Peter 5:7-9a,10)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us. (1 John 4:18-19)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt; &lt;br style="color: #ea9999;" /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #ea9999;"&gt; For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. I love my husband very much and he will have to put up with me for at least 60 years...lol....so with that clear...her it goes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have a few questions, don't I always, and would love it if I got some feedback, whether from the Biblical perspective or not...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Why do couples undergo years of masochistic suffering and after trying EVERYTHING in the book is still not working out, why do they stay together?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Why do many couple try to paint a picasso for society, when, in my opinion, lying isn't going to make it better?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Seriously, why if you are divorced, you get married more than another time....did you not learn from your previous mistakes?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Should the person that gets divorced re marry? &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then again, should a couple get married just because it's the right thing to do? (you know, circumstantial relationships)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In my personal opinion, todays society plays an important roll in todays families and especially marriages. They paint this picture perfect Cinderella rose bringing blue prince, and beautifully dressed at all times available house wife...anf marriage is not like that. AT ALL. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Marriage is one of the biggest acts of faith to take. You DONT know the other person well enough, and when the true colors start rising, or the first argument comes up, or when their fidelity is tested..and fails....then what? What book to read, where to turn. Churches are chaotic. People are afraid of being "alone". No one cares to read their Bible and trully read the entire passage.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The word of God clearly states how a man is supposed to treat his wife....as Christ loves the church. And how wives are supposed to treat and respect their husbands. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, don't get me wrong, there is no need to go to extremes. There are many unwritten rules and realities that no ones tells ready to marry couples. And yes, just because it's hard does not mean we will back out...but can at least be more prepared to be the best we can for that other special someone.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ok...just a few thoughts...God bless you all. And remember you should not be treated like crap in your marriage. It's not what God ordered. Unfortunately (whether it be because of: geography, industrialization, colonialism, education, resources, infrastructure, overpopulation, investment, government or debt) they are all located in the beautiful continent of Africa.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Did you know that 25,000 people die daily of starvation, more children than adults of coarse. That the combined income of the world’s richest individuals leaves far behind that of the poorest 416 million. 982 million out of 4.8 billion people in the developing world live on $1 a day. Another 2.5 billion live on below $2 a day. 40% of the poorest population made up 5% of world income while 20% of the richest population made up 75% of global income in 2005. (Imagine now that economy is at such low!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My concern, and truly my friends, my daily prayer, is for all those innocent children around the world that go to sleep every night with out a bottle of milk, or a piece of bread. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;God gave me such a love for the African cultures and histories (yes, from Somalia, Zamba to Uganda to DRC). Why?! I have no idea, but my hearts cries at the thought of those parents having to look at the hungry, skin baring, joy-less innocent faces of their children and NOT being able to give them such a bare necessity as it is food.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I know we all can't be missionaries, or adopt an orphan, or go to those countries and donate hundreds or even thousands of dollars. But we can all raise a prayer for those innocent individuals across the world. Yes, Haiti, due to the earthquake had many calamities, but in a month, when the news stop broadcasting the truth...who will remind us. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Income taxes are coming soon, and yes we all have bills, and believe me we all have debt. But my friends, give just a little. For food, for a notebook. Those children may never know what a crayon or coloring book is. How comfortable socks feels, or how puffy a pillow is at night. And let me tell you, we have been through a lot. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In less than two years I have moved four times, Lud three. God completed our beautiful family with Alexander and Victoria (doctors told us that they where both going to be born with either down syndrome or slight retardation-and the prayer of the faithful WORKS). We have been LITERALLY broke and NOT so broke...and through it all God has been faithful.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So here's a bit of us in two years. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We met in Lake Yale June 2007 youth camp. Ludwing saw my "fro" (lo)l at registration that Monday and it apparently caught his attention, that night I saw him preaching and praising for the first time, and mind you I was NOT looking for a relationship. It wasn't until that Thursday that we actually spoke. I went back to the sound booth to say "hey", and he said, no lie, DON'T LEAVE TOMORROW WITHOUT GIVING ME YOUR NUMBER. I was thinking to my self, oh Lord, what's going to happen...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That Friday morning I gave him my number. That afternoon he called me on the way down to West Palm (I was in Tampa) and we spoke for about 3 hours or so.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Saturday morning we spoke, then we spoke at night...and THAT night we said we would get married December 15th...6 months away.(cough/cough...we DID)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My dad being cuban didn't let me drive to WP to see him, so Lud drove every week, to see me for 6 months (4 hr drive each way). I went up only twice. So, before our wedding we had, TOPS, 20 dates.............not even!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We had a wondelful wedding at the beach, went to Vegas for 8 days...then we enjoyed getting to know each other!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(Ill skip a bit)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In October Alexander was born prematurely at 31 weeks, 10:33 AM weighing only 3 lbs and 15" long. Because of the meds I did not see him until that night at 11 PM. Let me tell you, I was in awe of how Gods hands were on our little angel! It WAS A LOVE THAT CAN"T BE DESCRIBED. He did not need oxygen, and held daddy's finger that same night! He was in the NICU for a month. We would go to see him at least twice a day for a few hours. The nurses loved him. I was (well still Im) so very much in love with this now blonde little trouble maker! But that month Satan did his thing, BUT, like Job, we never doubted God and boom...we came to Miami.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lud started pastoring at our present and awesome church, Resurrection. We love it here!!!!!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Again, in February we conceived our little princess Victoria. My pregnancy with her was simply perfect, at three months pregnant the doctors saw a dot in her upper left ventricle of the heart, and told us this was one of the causes of children with down syndrome. Because they had told us the SAME thing with Alexander I told the doctors to simply keep the "prognosis" to themselves. And on October 15th, at 3:30 PM our second little treasure was born. 6 lbs 12 oz, and 19" long. super healthy, gorgeous and hungry lol.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, two years later we have had to learn how to be husband and wife, parents, and me a youth pastors wife. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Life has definitely given us some huge obstacles and tests, but God has taken care of our family day and night. The promise he makes in Joshua 1:9 is so very applicable to our home. not once did we doubt Him, or question Him. Through all the tribulations we stayed optimistic and KNEW He would help us figure it out.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We re doing a very good job with our gorgeous babies, we still don't know what the future holds, and honestly we don't worry. WHY?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Because we have a wonderful counselor, who happens to be King of Kings, the maker or all creation as our Father...and THAT my friends is enough reason to leave it all in His hands (our future, our kids, our ministries, our jobs, our income...everything). Because His decisions will always be wiser than ours. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Weather He calls us our of the country, or to stay here is the gorgeous city of Miami...our only job is to obey, praise and worship Him. And He WILL take care of our marriage, children and home.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thank you Lord for ALL the undeserved blessing in my life, for my wonderful husband, healthy babies, out of this world parents, my handsome brother and all my friends!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;lt;3 You Honey, champ and princess! Then those with medical conditions that required food or specialty drinks can't fast?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This passage from today's devotional in Isaiah is very transparent and to the point. Also, it reminds us to stay focused in some of our purpose and duties as Christians, in this case fasting.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;God does not receive the glory when you "fast" one day and six you spend your money unwisely, don't give to the poor, don't care to seek help for those who are forgotten by society (hungry, poor, orphans, prisoners, widows, etc). When we wake up every morning our mind should automatically say "Ok Lord, what do you want me to do for YOU today, or Lord use me to my fullest potential." &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You can be a an exemplary Christian in many ways: within the church, at school, at work, in traffic, at home, as a friend, as a wife, as a husband, as a son or daughter. Yes reading one verse is ok, but what God wants from us is to meditate and listen to what He has prepared for us through His word. And to be honest my friends, that can not be accomplished one verse a day at time! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This week, after searching for a while, I found this One year Bible reading app for Facebook, check it out in my profile). It works for me, it breaks down different books, by day, you can read the Bible in one year, but I chose it because it gives me structure to my devotional time. That was always my biggest problem, where to start, Minor prophets, History, or Paul's letters. This does take dedication, time and of coarse willingness to spend a little time with our Father. But truly it is worth it! Your days are filled with more joy and happiness!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;God bless you guys and I hope that of you are not currently reading your Bible everyday, you consider my little method! It's great for me! Hope it can work for you!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;God bless and have a great time looking for what God what's for your life here on Earth!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of coarse the most important part of reading is listening...which for us can be the hardest.
